Police arrest four persons for allegedly stealing Agenda 111 building materials
The Ghana Police Service on Tuesday (10 December) arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing some building materials procured for construction of Agenda 11 hospitals.
The police, in collaboration with community members at Awwutu Bereku on Tuesday, launched a manhunt for the suspects, leading to the interception of one of the suspects, identified as Kwabena Ayamba, who was driving a Man Diesel truck with registration number GT 8715-Z, loaded with assorted building materials.
According to a press release issued by the Ghana police service, investigations reveal that the suspects were allegedly contracted by the project contractor to transport the items from the Agenda 111 project site to Tema.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting in the investigation, with efforts launched to arrest the said project contractor.
