Kumasi: Kofi Job Foundation donates life-saving medical equipment to Tafo Government Hospital

Timely intervention by the Kofi Job Foundation has saved over 300 lives of babies receiving treatment at the Tafo Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region.

The foundation has provided four critical health equipments valued at GHC100K to the hospital, which will significantly aid in the treatment of childhood diseases.

The donated equipment includes:

– One phototherapy machine

– One Vein Finder

– Two C-PAP machines

– Four suction machines

The equipment was officially handed over to the hospital on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, following an earlier request by the hospital to the foundation.

Dr. Esther Gyebi, Chief Executive Officer of the Kofi Job Foundation, stated that their goal is to facilitate the treatment of childhood diseases.

She assured that the foundation will continue to provide support to individuals and facilities in dire need.

Dr. Grace Naado, Head of the Pediatric Department at the hospital, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation.

She was particularly thrilled about the phototherapy machine, noting that the hospital previously lacked this essential equipment, making treatment of childhood jaundice challenging.

Dr. Naado emphasized that the availability of these equipment means that approximately 300 children who previously had no access to them will now receive quality treatment.

She thanked the foundation for their support, highlighting that it will have a significant impact on the hospital’s operations.
