Suame Interchange Project Has No Dedicated Funding – President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that the previous government initiated the Four-Tier Suame Interchange project in the Ashanti Region without allocating a dedicated fund for its completion.

This lack of funding has significantly slowed down the project’s progress

According to President Mahama, several projects, including the Suame Interchange and other road works, were commenced without dedicated funding.

He assured that his government is actively seeking sources of funding to accelerate the projects and alleviate congestion in the region.

President Mahama made these remarks on Sunday, March 2, 2025, during a meeting with the clergy in the Ashanti Region to express gratitude for his victory in the 2024 polls.

He reaffirmed his commitment to completing the project, emphasizing that the government will secure a dedicated fund to ensure its timely completion.

In addition to addressing the Suame Interchange project, President Mahama also pledged to revive abandoned hospitals in the region, as promised to the Asantehene.
