Asuonwunu Health Center Receives Medical Equipment to Boost Healthcare

The Asuonwunu Health Center in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region has received a significant boost to healthcare delivery in the area after being furnished with medical equipment worth hundreds of Ghana cedis.

The equipment was donated by Kosmos Energy and Medical Bridges of the United States of America.

The donated equipment includes hospital beds for the maternity ward, ultrasound probe cover machine, EKG/ECG pads, EKG probe microscope scissors, dissecting/splint forearm-wrist forceps, dressing cuffs, and blood pressure (adult) monitors, consumables among others.

This generous donation was made possible following a plea by the Chief of Asuonwunu, Nana Achina Kwagyan V, to the group to support the health center.

Kosmos Energy and Medical Bridges handed over the equipment to the health center through the Ghana Catholic Health Services on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

 During the handover, Nana Achina Kwagyan V expressed his gratitude to the group, describing the support as a game-changer that will improve healthcare delivery in the area.

He urged the management of the facility to keep the equipment in good shape and ensure proper maintenance to serve patients for a long time.

Receiving the items, the District Health Director, Pharm. Bernard Badu  Bediako, hailed Kosmos Energy and Medical Bridges for the gesture.

Bediako disclosed that the equipment will benefit hundreds of persons from dozens of  communities, as referrals from all CHPS compounds in the area are directed to the Asuonwunu Health Center.

He pledged to make good use of the equipment and commended all stakeholders who contributed to the effort.
