MTN Ghana, Partners Hold Business Clinic for SMEs in Kumasi

MTN Ghana, in partnership with Sanlam Alliance and SME Grow Africa (SME G-A), has organized a Business Clinic for entrepreneurs in the Ashanti Region.

The Business Clinic aims to equip entrepreneurs in the with the necessary tools and expertise to overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth, fostering a thriving business ecosystem
The program, held on 25th September, 2025 at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi, brought together more than one hundred business owners to receive training and capacity-building support.
The Head of SME Sales at MTN Mohammed Abubakari Sidick explained that many small and medium enterprises in Ghana face challenges with capacity building and digital engagement noting that the clinic was designed to provide practical solutions to these gaps.
In an Interview with OTEC Fm Reporters Dickson Mensah and Esther Amankwaah, Mr. Abubakari Sidick claimed that the SME Business Clinic forms part of ongoing efforts by MTN and its partners to strengthen entrepreneurship and improve business sustainability in Ghana
Some businesses continue to struggle with bookkeeping and technology-related issues so this partnership is aims at equipping SMEs with the best of capacity-building initiatives”. He said.
He pledged MTN’s commitment to support small and medium scale businesses in the country

A participant, Mr. Sebastian Appiah, said “the workshop had provided me with valuable knowledge that would help me manage my business more effectively” .
Another beneficiary, Dr. Victoria Mensah Nyamadi, CEO of EL Classy Apparell, emphasized that many small businesses often overlook documentation and proper business practices saying the clinic had reinforced the importance of taking small business operations more seriously.
