Asabeee Calls on NPP Chairmen To Lead Urgent Reconciliation Efforts

Hon Stephen Asamoah Boateng, National Chairman Hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)

The National Chairman hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Honourable Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has issued a strong appeal to the party’s regional, constituency, and polling station chairmen, urging them to immediately initiate and spearhead comprehensive reconciliation efforts to ensure the party remains a unified force.

Speaking last week during a working tour of the Ashanti Region, Hon. Boateng stressed that it is an imperative duty for the party to consolidate its front.

This unity, he argued, is the foundational requirement for prosecuting a robust, well-resourced, and effective electioneering campaign in the run-up to the crucial 2028 general elections.

The former Minister for Information was unequivocal in his assertion that no political party, irrespective of its history or support base, can secure a general election victory with a fragmented or divided front.

“Having vented our anger, disappointments, and frustrations following our recent internal difficulties, I believe the time for introspection is over,” the aspiring National Chairman stressed.

“It is now incumbent upon our regional, constituency, and polling station chairmen to actively lead these reconciliation efforts. This action is essential to forge a united front that is capable of successfully executing all our future political campaigns and objectives”, Mr Boateng stated.

Rebuilding the Grassroots:

Mr. Asamoah Boateng strongly encouraged the party leadership to concentrate their efforts on uniting and solidifying the NPP’s grassroots base.

He stated that the most enduring political structures are those built upon the unwavering strength and commitment of their local foundation.

Mr. Boateng, affectionately known as ‘Asabeee’ by party loyalists, posited that the power of every strong political party is derived directly from the grassroots, which encompasses the vital polling station and constituency branches.

“The New Patriotic Party has thrived historically because its founding fathers and early members made conscious, deliberate efforts in cultivating a formidable grassroots base,” Asabeee narrated.

“It was this investment in our local structures that ultimately culminated in the NPP evolving into the strong, resilient party we know today. We must return to that fundamental principle.”

Poise, Optimism, Strong Comeback:

Acknowledging the current internal atmosphere, Mr. Asamoah Boateng admitted that the NPP may currently be in a period of low morale, but he firmly maintained that the party possesses an immense, untapped potential for a significant rebound.

He noted that if the impending restructuring processes are executed with professionalism, diligence, and a primary focus on achieving and maintaining unity, the NPP could emerge from this period stronger and more formidable than before.

The National Chairman hopeful therefore extended a heartfelt appeal to all party members, urging them to put aside their differences and willingly avail themselves to participate fully in all party activities designed to unite its internal front and strategize for the future.

“The NPP is fundamentally a party of poise and optimism,” Mr. Boateng emphasised.

“As we treat our restructuring processes with the necessary seriousness and focus, pursuing unity with unwavering dedication, we will not only successfully achieve our goals but also secure a resounding victory in the crucial 2028 elections”, Asabeee stated.
