The Central Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have paid a courtesy visit to their counterparts in the Ashanti Region to strengthen collaboration and deepen ties between the two regional structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The visit forms part of the party’s ongoing internal reorganisation drive aimed at strengthening party structures, improving grassroots mobilisation and coordinating preparations ahead of the polls.
Speaking to the media during the visit on September 22, 2026, the Central Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Richard Takyi Mensah, said the engagement was intended to create a stronger bond between the two regions.
He hope this visit will also provide an opportunity for the executives to share ideas, experiences and strategies.
He said such collaboration would contribute to the development of the party’s campaign strategy and support its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2028 elections.
On his part, the Ashanti Regional Secretary, Dr. Francis Adomako, popularly known as Francois, on behalf of the Ashanti Regional Executives, expressed profound gratitude for the collaboration, stating that the relationship between the two regions would continue to grow.
He noted that the two regions collectively account for 70 constituencies and that closer collaboration could help strengthen mobilisation and coordination among the party’s structures.
