COKA mourns burnt policeman and family

Mr Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, former NPP Chairman for Afigya Kwabere South Constituency has expressed  shock over the death of a police officer and his family.

The sad death of a police officer, Sgt. Asante Baafi with the anti-robbery unit of the Ashanti Regional Command broke out in the early hours of Monday after a fire outbreak in his barracks apartment.

He was burnt to death together with his wife and 6 month old daughter in a fire that gutted the police barracks where they lived at Apromase in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

Mourning the death of the police officer on social media, Coka expressed his deepest condolence to the bereaved family.

In his facebook post, Coka questioned why such a good person will quickly leave the world.

“Understanding God is sometimes difficult. Why do good people leave this world so quickly?” He quizzed.

According to him, he was shocked when he heard about the sad news.

“I heard the news with a shock at 6:33am. I called his number just to confirm but he couldn’t be reached”. Coka stated in his post…..Asante Baafi, you never told me you will leave so quickly. l have not slept again and my heart is full of sorrow and tears. Rest well Mr and Mrs Baafi, till we meet again. Coka and his family are grateful.”

Understanding God is sometimes difficult. Why do good people leave this world so quickly? I heard the news with a shock at 6:33am. I called his number just to confirm but he couldn’t be reached. I have worked with a lot of policemen in this country but Baafi was extraordinary.

He was a brother, friend, supportive, loyal, and respectful. Asante Baafi, you never told me you will leave so quickly. l have not slept again and my heart is full of sorrow and tears. Rest well Mr and Mrs Baafi, till we meet again. Coka and his family are grateful.
