Dec polls: Akufo-Addo picks nominations form
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has picked the nomination form to contest for the presidency in the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The form was picked on his behalf by the acting General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu, on Wednesday September 14 at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission in Accra.
Mr Boadu complained about the filing fee, saying the GHS 50,000 required of presidential aspirants and GHS 10,000 for MP nominees was excessive.
Among some of the flag bearers who have already picked their forms are President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), flag bearer of the Ghana Freedom Party Akua Donkor; and Kofi Akpaloo, flag bearer of the Independent People’s Party (IPP).
The deadlines for the submission of the forms are the 29th and 30th of September, 2016.
