Fire guts house; kills mother and son
A mother and her young son have reportedly died in a fire outbreak in Kasadjan a community at Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo region.
It is not yet known what triggered the fire Monday afternoon but the deceased said to be the wife and son of a Fire Service personnel were asleep when the fire started.
According to reports, several attempts to break into the house to rescue the trapped family proved futile since the building was locked.
OTECNEWS’ Opoku Boateng said properties worth thousands of Cedis were destroyed after attempts by residence to quench the fire proved futile.
Fire service, he noted arrived at the scene to put out the fire. The bodies of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue pending police investigations.
