I will sue you for cash to feed widows and Orphans – liwin warns

liwin-1024x524Award winning actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin has threatened to sue any blog or site which would seek to destroy his career by publishing falsehood about him.

The “I don’t think far” crooner, after the 2016 elections, was rumoured on social media to have stated that Nana Akufo-Addo could never become president and that he (liwin) preferred President Mahama to the president-elect.
It was later discovered that a scam site was behind those false and defamatory publications without any clear motive.

Speaking to OneCharles on Otec fm’s Anokyekrom, the comic actor denied ever making such statements and called on Ghanaians to treat them with the contempt they deserve.
Liwin warned the people behind such scam sites to stop jeopardizing his career with falsehood or he would sue them for huge amounts of money and use it to feed widows and orphans.
According him, he remained neutral during the campaign period and preached peace for the sake of his numerous fans who cut across the political divide.
“I could have made money endorsing any political party because I work for money, but I decided to stay neutral for the sake of the many Ghanaians who patronize my movies and prayed for peace, yet, some people felt the need to publish falsehood about me….am i God to say that ?……who am I to judge when the Bible says we should not judge” he lamented.

He bemoaned the rate at which most sites and blogs publish falsehood about celebrities just to direct traffic to their sites and vowed not to allow any blog make a name at the expense of his hard earned reputation.
“I don’t want people to see me as a wicked person for suing anyone, so these false publications must stop now and this is the last time I am saying this” he said.

He noted that, most Africans especially Ghanaians do not verify information they get from social or traditional media before spreading it and as such could be impossible for him to clear his name once such false publications are made about him.

Liwin charged owners of such sites and blogs to strive to be creative, and not resort to defaming celebrities to gain popularity.
” Create something new for Ghanaians to enjoy like I created, “I don’t think far” and the “does I care” phrases, but don’t wait for others to create whiles you sit somewhere and destroy their hard work.
