KMA to Confirm Osei Assibey today

Assembly members in the Kumasi Metropolis are expected to confirm or reject Osei Asibbey, President Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the position of Chief Executive of officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan assembly (KMA).

Mr. Osei Assibey was the former Ashanti regional deputy minister under the erstwhile Kufuor administration.

The assembly members from the various electoral areas within the kumasi metropolis are expected to vote to endorse his nomination in the election which will be held at the Metropolitan Assembly.

135 assembly members are expected to take part in today’s election.

Members of the assembly have hinted that they expect the process to be free, fair and smooth.
