Enstool a legitimate chief for Ga’s – Ga Manye

Ga Manye Naa Dedei Omaadro, has called on kingmaker of the Ga state to unite and enstool a legitimate chief for the good people of Ga.
In a press statement read on her behalf, she said that without a legitimate Ga Mantse, her duty as mother of the land to take good care of her children is incomplete.
”I’m crying within me because it’s quite disgusting that Ga’s have lost their respect due functions among our king makers.”
”Ga’s need a paramount chief { Ga Mantse} to lead us, looking at the current state of Ga-Mashie is very pitiful. Ga’s must come together to promote peace before, during, and after the upcoming ban on drumming and noise making leading to homowo celebration.”
Meanwhile queen mother of Gbese, Naa Ayikailey Nananorben 1, also added her voice to what the queen mother said and called on Ga’s to come together to achieve a common purpose as a state.
”We need development that will help transform the image of Greater Accra but due to these factions Ga state have being neglected.”
Currently the Ga state is being ruled by numerous self acclaimed Ga Mantse who were not legitimately installed by the appropriate Ga king makers, this has led to the selling of Ga lands by some of these illegitimate chiefs who call themselves Ga Mantse.
She bemoaned how Ga’s have lost their identity, allowed the state to be ruled by visitors who they accommodated and also considered as siblings.
This is the very first time the queen mother of Ga – Mashie, Naa Dedei Omaadro, has spoken after the death of King Tackie Tawiah i, about Ga state.
She also called on her fellow queen mothers to voice out and fight against this chieftaincy issue for the right thing to be done.
