Kotoko’s Midfielder Michael Akuffu regains fitness

Kotoko have been handed a boost as Michael Akuffu has been declared fit and ready for selection in Sunday’s FA Cup round of 32 match against Proud United at Agona Swedru.

The midfielder was given three days off after suffering a contusion in the knee ligament in the first half of the match day 14 league encounter with Olympics in Accra earlier this month.

He thus missed the barren match day 15 fixture against Tema Youth. “Michael Akuffu is now fit. He can be used in the next game if the coach wishes” said Team Nurse, Gabriel Ofori Adjei.

“He suffered a contusion in the left knee ligament in the Olympics match. We treated it and gave him three days off. He has recovered fully. He’s good to play” said the medic.

Michael Akuffu had a full physical training session under the careful supervision of Instructor, Isaac Ayebah on Wednesday morning.

He joined his colleagues during the ball work the same day.
