Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes 60yr old woman

A 60 year old woman has been knocked down unconscious by a speeding passenger vehicle at krofrom-Adwee Nkwanta in the Kumsi metropolis.

The driver of the passenger vehicle failed to stop but fled the scene for reasons unknown.

The incident according to eyewitnesses happened around 5am this morning but the victim as at the time of filing this story was left on the roadside unattended.

A family member of the victim who spoke to otec fm said that, the victim who they believed to be dead was on her way attending a funeral at Krofrom from Yenyawoso when the speeding vehicle knocked her down at Adwee nkwanta a suburb of krofrom.

He explained that an off-duty Policeman who also witnessed the incident, called the nearby police station and asked family of the victim to wait for the Police to inspect the accident scene before lifting her to the hospital.

The body of the victim remains on the roadside with family members wailing and waiting around for police to inspect the scene without any confirmation of death or life.
