Koku Anyidoho has already failed as Mediator – Adomako Barfi

Deputy communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Yaw Adomako Barfi has said that Deputy general secretary of the Ndc, koku Anyidoho has even before the start of his work as mediator failed after making bias comments about the political situation in Togo.

Koku Anyidoho was recently voted as vice chariman for the council of African Political Parties and Chairman for the political parties in the west African sub region, and has now been appointed to help mediate the crisis in Togo.

He remarked that the people of Togo are tired and are clamoring for change in government.

But Mr. Adomako BaRfi believes Koku Anyidoho has failed from the word go because his comments suggests he has taken sides in the situation in Togo.

”If you ask anybody with knowledge about conflict resolution, he will tell you that Koku Anyidoho has failed from the word go”, he said.

He noted that for a mediator who is suppose to foster peace in Togo to accuse one presidential of wanting to force himself on the people against the will of citizens, indicates that Koku has taken sides and failed the mediation process.

According to him, Koku Anyidoho instead of being neutral has already shown his bearing on the matter and might not be taken serious by other factions who support the government.

”We are all learning, so let us sometimes put aside our personal interests and ego, and understand that such matters transcend our personal interests”, he advised.

Mr. Adomako Barfi noted that the honour done Koku is an honour for Ghana and not only the Ndc so personal interests could jeopardize the glory given the nation.

He however charged Mr. Koku Anyidoho as a mediator, to be circumspect in his utterances anywhere he finds himself commenting on such political issues.
