Ghanaians Overly delayed Nana Addo’s presidency – Kusi Boafo

Chief executive Officer of Public Sector Reforms, Mr Thomas Kusi Boafo has stated that Ghanaians overly delayed the presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo, hence the hardship that have engulfed the country.

According to him, Ghanaians have themselves to blame for these avoidable hardships, because they could have voted Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo into power from 2008 when he first contested the presidency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party.

‘I have said on countless occasions that Ghanaians have delayed his presidency and all these hardships we are facing in this country were clearly avoidable because a laudable policy like the Free SHS would have been implemented 6 years ago,’ he noted.

Mr Boafo advised Ghanaians to discard the perception that all politicians are the same and do not have the development of the nation at heart, adding that, there are good ones like president Akufo-Addo who would do anything to ensure that Ghanaians benefit from the country’s resources.

He gave several examples to drive home his point that all leaders are not the same because some are Natural born leaders whiles others are nurtured into leadership.

‘Though a person can be trained to be a leader, proper leadership is a natural talent from God and one should be able to identify someone who has nurtured himself to be a leader, ‘he explained.

He however praised president Akufo Addo for his intention to use proceeds from the country’s natural resources to fund the free SHS policy.
