Mysterious Crocodile discovered at Meduma
Residents of Meduma a suburb of the Tafo-Pankrono Constituency in the Ashanti region were thrown into a state of shock when they discovered a crocodile roaming the area this morning.
An eyewitness and tenant of the house behind whose wall the creature was found, Saadia told otecfmghana.com that her neighbours’ kids were brushing their teeth behind their fence wall around 7am this morning when they saw the crocodile roaming the area and drew the attention of their neighbours and cotenants.
She explained that though they were scared, they all decided not to kill the crocodile but rather call on the wildlife service to come and carry the creature to the Kumasi Zoo.
Though many residents have attached Superstitious connotations to the matter, Saadia and her cotenants believe the crocodile could have been washed by last night’s heavy downpour from a nearby stream.
”It is quite amazing, because it is the first time we are seeing something like this and the stream is not even close to our house but we believe the rain washed it from the stream”, she said.
