
Hundreds of students drawn from the various health training institutions in the Upper East Region have embarked on a procession to thank President Akufo-Addo for restoring the suspended trainee allowances.
The students made up of trainee nurses and some concerned health workers converged on a common ground and later took to the streets of Bolgatanga amidst brass band to express their appreciation to the President for honouring his campaign promise.
Majority were in possession of placards with inscription some of which read: ‘No Yawa Nana dey for you’, Nana we are proud of you’, Thank you Mr President’ and a host of goodwill messages.
The action by the students follows the payment of their trainee allowances which began in September.
