Kotoko Coach optimistic to defeat Hearts in crucial Ghana@60 second leg encounter

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club Head Coach Steve Polack is optimistic of recording a win over their rivals Hearts of Oak Sporting Club in the Ghana@60 second leg game at Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

The first leg at the Ohene Djan Sports stadium ended 3 – 1 in favour of the Phobia lads on Sunday, May 1, 2017.

Speaking to the media in Kumasi on Monday, December 14, Steve Pollack said the team has prepared enough to reverse the 1-3 defeat they suffered.

“It’s important that we can get good results on Sunday because we (Kotoko) lost by 3 goals to 1 in the first leg and we need to reverse the results and win the trophy, though it’s not easy, we have prepared ourselves to this,” Coach Pollack said.

Coach Polack is of the view that winning the game and the cup will be a major boost in annexing the premiership next season, though it will not be easy playing against Accra Hearts of Oak.

“What we need to understand is that both sides have started pre-season training, but games between these two clubs can’t be taken for granted because of its historical connotations. Moreover, its rivalry match and can go either way, so we are expecting a wonderful football from both teams,” Pollack added.

He urged the team supporters to come to the stadium and cheer them up for victory.
