Martin Amidu starts work with Dr Opuni, preferred 27 charges against him

The state has filed a case of financial loss against Dr Stephen Kwabena Opuni, a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana COCOBOD with one Seidu Agongo. A total of 27 charges have been levelled against them, OTECNEWS has gathered.
Special Prosecutor, Martin Alamisi Burns Kaiser Amidu, has reportedly hit the ground running by going for details of a high-profile corruption case that rocked the country in 2011.
The case is said to be called on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the High Court.
In February 2017, the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) froze the assets of Dr Opuni as part of investigations into his period as CEO of COCOBOD.
He is alleged to have mismanaged the cocoa sector during his tenure.
Dr Opuni was relieved of his post on January 12, 2017.
