Ashanti NPP thanks God for successful regional executive’s elections

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members in Ashanti Region have held a prayer and thanksgiving service to thank God for the successful and peaceful regional executives elections.

The service attracted party bigwigs and sympathisers adorned in  white attires.

The Ashanti regional chairman of the ruling new Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi) called on Ghanaians to offer prayers of thanksgiving to God for preserving the peace, unity and freedom of the nation during last year’s elections.

He made this call when the newly elected executives of the party held an inter-dominational service in the New Edubiase district in Ashanti region.

He said: “It is right that we should give thanks to the Almighty…It is He who has preserved us, from a year ago; the peace, the unity and the freedom of our nation.”

According to Chairman Wontumi, it was pertinent that the NPP recognised God’s abundant blessings and mercies that resulted in the party’s victory, saying; “He has given us the opportunity to serve the people of Ghana and for that we have to give Him thanks and glory.”

Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako said, the President is committed to fix poor roads network in the metropolis that has left unattended for decades.

He said, within a spate of one year the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has tremendously performed very well and willing to do more for the nation.

The Member of Parliament New Edubiase Hon. George Oduro who is also the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture charged the newly elected executives to work hard and to help promote government  policies.
