
OTEC FM, a leading private radio station in Kumasi, as part on May Day celebrations organized a day’s fun games at the Kuamsi Technical Institute (KTI) in Kumasi.
Participating teams included Otec FM, Ashanti regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Donyma steel complex, Staff of Petra International School at Bremang, workers of Shamo farms, Staff of Kumasi Technical University, Legacy capital savings and loans, Anwiam Clinic workers, Metro Mass Transit staff and Asokore Rural Bank staff.
They competed in sporting disciplines such as football, table tennis, volleyball, ludo, and draught among other interesting games.
Workers of the Donyma steel complex factory emerged winners of Otec FM’s cooperate fun games.
The event which was powered by Ashanti gaint in radio, OTEC FM, which had a massive attendance was held at the Kumasi Technical Institute’s park at Amakom in Kumasi.

The 10 team tournament began with a knockout stage which saw the elimination of 5 teams with 5 winners sailing through to battle for the trophy.
Host of the event, Otec FM, were kicked out in their first match against Anwiam Clinic.
The host then got an opportunity to play a curtain raiser game with the legacy capital savings and loans but they were lucky and won by a goal to nil with a wonderful strike by head of sports at the station, Osei Akoto Kanu, after a pass by playmate Evans Agyei Sikapa.
The Staff of the Kumasi Technical University and Donyma steel complex locked horns in the final and Donyma won the day.
They were awarded with a free months subscribed Go TV decoder, souvenirs from MTN, and a golden trophy.
Meanwhile all other participating teams were given branded OTEC FM Polo shirts and certificates of participation from the organizers.
The OTEC FM fun games was organized by OTEC FM events team headed by Nana Kwabena Agyeman (Agyengo) , Ebenezer Amankwaa, C.J Louis and Evans Agyei Sikapa.
