Pastor involves in ‘sakawa’ at Maame-Krobo: Coffin found on his doorstep

Residents of Maame-Krobo, a farming community in the Kwahu Afram plains district of the Eastern region are in shock over the discovery of a coffin in front of man’s room at dawn on Tuesday May 2, 2018, which the residents link it to ‘sakawa’.

The coffin, made of ‘wawa’ tree, clad with white and red cloth and closed, was placed right at the door step of a couple, the man’s name only given as ‘Carpey’, according to eyewitness, Kofi Manu, who spoke to otefmghana.com on Tuesday May, 2, 20218.

According to the eyewitness, they suspect the incident was necessitated by a well known fetish priest in the area, who announces his ‘juju’ activities, on how to get more money, ‘sakawa’, on a local information center in the area.

Kofi Manu further said ‘Carpey’ is a well known pastor of an unknown church, who leads prayers during church services every evening in the house, was nowhere to be found on that day.

“Carpey is a pastor in a church I don’t know its name and leads church services in the house every day. I saw the coffin this very morning; I knocked several times on his window to alert him of the coffin when I saw that the room’s light was on. I later realized that he wasn’t there,” he narrated.

“I have that the coffin contains a huge amount of cedis, and it is believed that the money can be retrieved in every six days and I wonder why he has ran away. Nobody can open the coffin except the pastor himself, so we are waiting for him to come and open it,” a resident also told otecfmghana.com.
