Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya under the erstwhile John Mahama administration, Nana Asare Bediako, has charged the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to apologise to their angry serial callers and communicators who have decleared strike against the party leadership for neglecting them since the party won power.
Speaking on OTEC FM’s afternoon political talkshow dubbed DWABIREM, Nana Asare Bediako, bashed the party’s leadership adding they have been ungrateful to their callers.
According to him, the serial callers played a major role to bring the NPP into power and therefore must be given the necessary attention. He recalled how the NPP callers fought them (NDC) before and during the 2016 elections.
“How can you treat people who played about seventy percent (70%) role in winning power for you this way? Nana Asare Bediako questioned. I entreat the NPP to immediately apologise to them if they really want to stay in power for long he added.
It will be recalled that some angry NPP serial callers and communicators in the Ashanti region expressed their displeasure last Wednesday, accusing the party leadership of neglect. They burnt their phones and other gadgets used to defend the party in the media.
Meanwhile First Vice Chairmen of the ruling NPP in the Ashanti region, Mr. Kwabena Senkyire and the Ashanti regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah have described the serial callers as ungrateful and lazy. The duo further stated job opportunities were given to the serial callers but the jobs have been rejected.
