NDC decides: I’m going to court – Angry Kojo Adu-Asare threatens

An aspiring Deputy General Secretary in the just-ended National Democratic Congress’ National Executive Elections has threatened to sue the party for handing him a raw deal.

Mr Kojo Adu-Asare whose picture was on the ballot paper but had his name changed to Justice Yeboah is of the firm view that but for the name change, he would have won the position he contested for.

As to why his name did not correspond with his photograph, the general public is yet to be furnished with the fine details.

Questions are being asked as to why Mr Adu-Asare did not protest this obvious error but allowed the elections to be held and has come out with threats of suing the party over this unfair treatment.

What this means is that the party will have to reorganize an emergency congress to determine which two candidates will emerge victorious at the end of the day.

Results trickling in indicate that Peter Boamah Otukonor and Barbara Serwaa have been elected to deputize Johnson Asiedu Nketia as deputy general secretaries as the party seeks to reorganize itself to face the rather formidable Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party in 2020.

The party, while wrapping up on its internal elections, it is not yet known whether Kojo Adu-Asare will match his words with action.
