Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin is the fifth flag bearer-aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to pick nomination forms to contest for the presidential primary of the biggest opposition party.
Apart from Mr Bagbin, four others have picked forms earlier.
They include former president John Mahama, Prof Joshua Alabi, Mr Sylvester Mensah and Mr Stephen Atubiga.
A Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Peter Boamah Otokunor, confirmed the number to OTECNEWS.
This essentially means that the other flag bearer hopefuls are out of the race.
Apart from Mr Mahama, Mr Bagbin and all the other aspirants had expressed reservations about the GHS420,000 filing and nomination fees and threatened to boycott the race.
