Ashanti Region: Another woman found dead
The lifeless body of a woman in her 20s has been found in the Susan River at Duase New Site in the Kumasi metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
The unidentified woman was found lying in a supine position in the river.
Her remains were found in the river on Thursday and retrieved on Friday, 21 June 2019.
The Assembly member for Duase electoral area, Mr Anthony Kwaku Adjei, told newsmen that the deceased was naked when the body was found.
He said irrespective of the number of people who rushed to the crime scene, none of them was able to identify her.
He said the police have conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
This is the second person found dead in the region on the same day.
A 15-year-old Juabeng SHS student, Linda Akansa, was also found dead at Ejisu Gyamasi in the Ejisu municipality after she went missing for some weeks.
