Desist from sycophancy and help president to develop Ghana – Ahmadiyya Missionary

Muslims across the country joined their global counterparts to mark the end of Ramadan with prayers offered in various mosques.
In Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission gathered in their numbers at the courtyard of T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School in commemoration of the occasion to offer prayer for peace and prosperity of mother Ghana.
Addressing the gathering, the Kumasi Zonal Missionary, Maulvi Hameed Tahir called for love and peace for the nation as they are part of the core values of Islam and admonished close associates of the president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo to offer every support for the development of the nation and desist from sycophancy, insincerity and dishonesty, pointing out that such characters would meet the wrath of Allah.
He appealed to Muslim youth particularly, the machomen not to allow themselves to be used by politicians as frontmen or agents of destruction adding, they need them only for their selfish ends to maintain their positions.
” The Quran tells us if you kill one person you kill the entire humanity and if you save one person you save humanity as well and I advise the youth in particular, not to relapse into any bad habit after 30 days of fasting and prayers ” he posited.

Maulvi Tahir said in some countries Muslims are their own enemies as they are manipulated by the super powers to destroy themselves and their cities citing Boko Haram activists in Nigeria and other Arab countries.

For his part, the Mayor of Kumasi, Osei Assibey Antwi delivering a message from the president Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo commended the Muslim community for a successful Ramadan and urged them to refrain from acts intended to destroy the tenets of Islam as it is a region of peace.
He expressed the belief that Allah will shower His grace, peace and mercies on our nation to make it great and strong.
He cautioned Ghanaians to be security conscious referring to Hamile incident in the Upper East Region where a Burkinabe was caught with a loaded pistol in a church.

Ending his address, Hon Osei Assibey Antwi wished them a peaceful and happy Eid – Ul – Filr celebration.
