Covid-19: Ghana records 158 new a day; Ashanti now 49, E/R 32

The confirmed Covid-19 cases in Ghana have risen sharply by 158 to 566, the Ghana Health Service has announced.

On its Covid-19 website, the Service said a number of measures introduced to control and prevent further spread of the disease has resulted in the sudden increase in cases.

The Volta and Western region are the latest regions to join the COVID-19 infected regions, bringing the number of regions with infected persons to 10.

The number of infections in Volta stands at nine, while the Western Region also confirmed its first case.
