Autocheck launches Ghana operations with new Accra office
Autocheck is an automotive technology aimed at building solutions for the African market.
This announcement was made in Accra Ghana in support of technological delivery solutions in Africa’s automotive markets.
Autocheck earlier acquired Cheki Ghana in September 2020.
The company will combine technology and data to create a large marketplace for car sales, car loans, and car repairs across Ghana.
Ghanian consumers can purchase cars and access loans through the Autocheck app or website in a manner that ensures cars undergo the 150-point inspection process. Autocheck will look at effective sourcing of affordable car loans, car repairs, and warranties.
The new developments are boosted by the 2019 Ghana Automotive Development Policy aimed at attracting investment in the industry while encouraging local manufacturing while ensuring vehicles are readily available.
Etop Ikpe, the CEO of Autochek expressed excitement to be in Ghana and part of the ecosystem. Head of Business Operations in Autocheck Ghana described the automotive sector in Ghana as the “most advanced in Africa.”
Autocheck plans to onboard 500 dealerships and workshops across Ghana while making it easier for residents to access efficient automotive services.
