Kumasi: Another fire sweeps Suame Magazine; spare parts worth millions burnt
An explosion that triggered a fire outbreak On Tuesday January 12, 2021 gutted shops at Kumasi Suame Magazine near Mbrom hotel within the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.
Ashanti Regional capital Kumasi has recorded 3 fire outbreaks within the last 48-hours sparking fear among residents over what may be happening.
An eyewitness in an interview with OTEC FM’s Akwasi Acheampong explained that workers and shop owners efforts to control the fire proved futile as it consumed their goods locked in the shops.
“The fire is beyond control. We realized there was smoke coming out from the storey building and the fire exploded”.
Akwasi Acheampong who visited the scene, disclosed to otecnews that personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service are still struggling to get access to the building in order to douse the inferno.
