A 16-year-old boy has allegedly been stabbed to death by a friend at Abuakwa Sepaase in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti region.
The incident occurred on Sunday, 31 January 2021.
The deceased, Kojo Appiah, is said to have borrowed clothes from the suspect.
The suspect, Nyamekye Beckham, 19, approached the deceased and demanded the return of his clothes.
This, according to the mother of the deceased, Afia Rita, degenerated into a misunderstanding after the suspect said he no longer needed the clothes.
Rather, he demanded a sum of GHS40 in place of the clothing.
In the process of the heated argument, she said the suspect stabbed her son.
The victim was rushed to the Afari Government Hospital for medical treatment but died upon arrival.
Police at Abuakwa has arrested the suspect.
He is currently in their custody assisting investigations.
