Covid-19: SDA church sensitizes its members on safety protocols

In its efforts to help combat of the spread of the dreaded novel coronavirus which is serious global health security threat, the Wenchi Central SDA Church of the Wenchi West District of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Mid-West Ghana Conference of the SDA Church has embarked on a day sensitisation workshop to create awareness to its members.

Addressing the congregation during the sanitisation workshop Pastor Owusu Boakye Lambert, the Executive Secretary of the Mid-West Ghana Conference it become necessary for the leadership of the Church to create awareness on the pandemic that is sweeping the world.

He encourage members to strictly abide by the laid down technical guides to have a healthy society.
Miriam Korkor a health practitioner cautioned the memberrs to be cautious and vigilant in the recent spike in Covid-19 cases recorded in the country.
She said currently Ghana has recorded 791 new cases of covid-19.
According to her this brings the country active cases to 6,095 with 449 deaths.
On her part Sandra Amoah also health practitioner entreated members to help scale down the rate of infection by wearing nose masks, practicing social distancing where appropriate, washing of hands with soap under running water among others.
