COVID-19 death toll 991, active cases 6,981

As of 22 August 2021, a total of 991 COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the pandemic in Ghana, the latest figures from the Ghana Health Service indicate.
Some 496 new cases were confirmed within the period.
The active cases have, thus, shot up to 6,981.
Of that number, 52 are critical and 143 severe.
Since mid-March 2020, Ghana has recorded a total of 116,441 cases.
Out of that number, 108,469 have recovered.
