Former NDC MP for Nkwanta South passes on

The death is reported of the former Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South Constituency, Gershon Gbediame.

The sad event occurred at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Wednesday, September 8.

Mr Gbediame has been on admission for a long ailment.

He served the people of Nkwanta from 1996 to 2016 as their representative in Parliament.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party on whose ticket he served the two decades, described him as “a selfless, committed and hardworking man who has contributed his bit towards the development of the Constituency during his tenure of office as MP”.

Before he left Parliament after losing NDC’s primaries in 2016, he rose to the Majority Chief Whip.
