Ghana places travel restrictions on Israel, Malta and South Korea

Ghana has placed temporary travel restriction on all travelers from Israel and South Korea, effective 20 December 2021, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The restriction is for 14 days for both countries, the statement added without spelling out reasons.
The West African country has also imposed a ban on all travellers to and from Malta “due to the Omicron COVID-19 variant”, another statement from the ministry said.
“The ministry further wishes to indicate that the government of Ghana does not recognise any vaccine certificate from Malta. To this end, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to state that the public should take note of the above and adhere to it accordingly,” the statement added.
