KATH management holds emergency meeting over looming strike by doctors

The Management of the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital has met with the Okomfo Anokye Doctors Association over its planned industrial action.
A closed source at the hospital disclosed that the meeting on Monday January 31, 2022, which took about two hours was part part of efforts by the management to resolve all pending issues.
The source how however failed to give account of the meeting claiming both parties will soon announce the outcome of the sitting.
The Doctors at KATH had given the management of the facility until February 1, 2022 to pay outstanding 13th-month salary and car maintenance allowance or they withdraw their services.
In a press release copied to OTEC News, the doctors stated that the hospital has turned daeth ear to their demands forcing them to embark on strike.
The release further indicated that the 13th-month salary arrears covers both 2020 and 2022.
