We need to apply proper technology to make water useful and visible – Prof Mike Osei

The Director at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Water Research Institute, Prof. Mike Y. Osei Tweneboana has called for a broader input of technology in treating our ground water.
He made this at an event organized to Premark the World Water Day coming 22nd March, 2022 on the theme “Making The Invisible Visible”.
According to him, because it focus on ground water making invisible visible, if you want to talk about ground water, you know that ground water is here or not because you cannot see it, you need to have all the technologies and all the neologies and all the information needed for you to be able to explore the water.
It’s invisible because even we have the water if you look at all around, even if you take Ghana alone, there are some places if you want water and drill, you can just do a well and you can get water over there.
There are some places you have to dig about 100 fit before you will be able to get water there’s some places you need to go beyond 100 fit or 200 fit before you can get water. Now if that’s how the challenge it’s and it means that we need to have more skills.
The relevant information and appropriate technology needed in other to explore all the ground water which we cannot see must be available.
And a lot of technology that we are actually deprived even when the surfaces are and there are a lot of the assignments you need to do even on the surfaces.
Before you will be able to know whether deep down where we are standing.
