Bosome Freho: Thugs beat Assembly Members and journalists as meeting to impeach Bosome Freho DCE turns chaotic
The assembly members sought to pass a vote of no confidence in the DCE
A meeting by some assembly members of the Bosome Freho District has ended in chaos.
The thugs according to sources allegedly attacked the assembly members and the journalists with pepper spray, hammer and other weapons.
The incident according report occured when the Assembly members convened to pass vote of no confidence in their District Chief Executive Hon Yaw Danso.
The Assembly Members after the incident also accused police officers who were present of doing nothing when the thugs pounced on them.
A video from the meeting venue circulating on social media showed that the place virtually turned into a boxing ring with some assembly members running for thier lives.
Some of the Assembly Members in an interview with OTEC News Kwame Agyenim Boateng accused Hon Yaw Danso of sending the thugs to beat them.
“We have been severely beating by the well-built macho-men severely beat up Assembly Members numbering about six on the orders the DCE Hon Yaw Danso without any provocation”. One of the aggrieved assembly members said.
“Even some media personnels here hard their fair share of the attack when the thugs forcefully took their recording gadgets from them”
The Assembly members have since reported the matter to police in the area.
There has been tension between Mr. Yaw Danso and some assembly members of Bosome Freho.
The MCE was recently reported to have blurted out during an interview where he was told the assembly members claim they can’t locate him to commence impeachment processes against him.
Livid by the accusation, the DCE fumed saying, “tell them I am dead, if they claim they can’t find, me tell them I’m dead”.
