The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has said the government has accepted to increase domestic resources through the operationalisation of the National HIV/AIDS Fund to be launched in the next few days.
He said this has become important despite the challenging economic climate.

The Health Minister who was delivering a keynote address on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said the government will continue to prioritise the uninterrupted supply of anti-retroviral medicines to persons living with HIV (PLWH) to guarantee a continuous stay in care.
Honourable Kwaku Agyemang Manu said the increase in the new infection rates shows that there is a major gap in the HIV response and therefore called on stakeholders to unite to kick out stigma and discrimination of HIV/AIDS patients.
He was speaking at a national durbar in Accra to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the commission and also commemorate this year’s World AIDS Day.
The event was under the theme: 20 years of a multi-sectoral HIV Response: Accelerating Progress to end AIDS
