NPP primaries:  Over 80% of delegates in Tano North constituency declare support for Freda Prempeh

One hundred and four out of one hundred and twenty-eight polling station executives in the Tano North constituency in the Ahafo region have declared their support for Hon Freda Akosua Oheneafrewo Prempeh.

The executives who will be voting during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries on January 27, 2024, said they want the incumbent MP to continue her developmental agenda in the constituency.

According to the executives, Hon Freda Prempeh has made remarkable achievements in the area of jobs creations, entrepreneurship, sanitation, health, education and other social interventions, during her three terms as the MP of the area.

With this, the polling station executives who are delegates have vowed to vote for Hon Freda Prempeh to ensure her re-election during the parliamentary primaries to complete ongoing projects across the 25 electoral areas in the constituency.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Duayaw Nkwanta, they mentioned that the construction of the Fire Service Training School at Abuom by the MP, who is also the Sanitation minister, is very commendable.

“After the completion of the Fire Service School, many qualified young people in the constituency will be recruited into the Fire Service as a way of job creation,” Victor Owusu of New Town Electoral Area boasted.

Samuel Boateng of Tromo Electoral Area also said “the Tromo electoral has benefitted from the toilet facility, durbar grounds and others, so it’s befitting that we give her the mandate to fulfill her fourth term.”

“Hon Freda Prempeh has constructed more than 130 boreholes and other water projects across the constituency, not to talk about the road constructions, nobody knows the constituency more than her, why can’t we push her to represent us again,” Ama Serwaa of Duayaw Nkwanta quizzes.

The polling station executives took the media to some communities where Hon Freda Prempeh’s projects are ongoing, among them include Terchire, where a construction of a 20-seater toilet facility in near completion.

At Twewaho Nkwanta community, a mechanized bore-hole has been constructed, and electrical poles have been mounted for onward connection to the national grid.

A bridge construction is underway to link Duayaw Nkwanta Zongo and Akotosua communities for free flow of human and vehicular movements, while also an astro turf football pitch is under construction at Yamfo, courtesy, Hon Freda Prempeh.

In conclusion, the executives said the former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection will be given the nod to represent them again in Parliament.
