Kumawu MP launches exercise book donation drive to support education in constituency

The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, has initiated a donation drive of exercise books to schools across his constituency.

 According to the MP, the philanthropic effort, which began two months ago, aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents who struggle to afford essential educational materials for their children.

Mr Anim in an interview with OTEC News Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the donation on Thursday June 20, 2024, said he will work towards improving academic excellence in the constituency

“The initiative seeks to cultivate a culture of academic excellence, motivate students to achieve their potential, and create an environment that supports learning and academic success”. He said

He noted that, the move is part of his broader commitment to investing in education and nurturing the next generation of leaders.

In addition to the exercise book donation, Mr. Anim has also donated football jerseys to all 98 primary and junior high schools across the constituency to aid in interschool competitions and promote sports among students.

To improve healthy learning competition among students, I have also started distributing school bags to deserving students a clear demonstrating of my dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for young learners”.

Through these initiatives, Mr. Yaw Anim aims to equip young people with the tools they need to succeed academically and make meaningful contributions to society.
