NPP Introduces Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh to Asantehene, Seeks Royal Blessing”
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially introduced their flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in the Ashanti Region.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, and Chairman Stephen Ayensu Ntim led the delegation on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
Presenting the duo to the Asantehene and his elders, President Akufo-Addo described Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh as the best ticket to lead Ghana for the next four years, citing their impressive track record of delivering on tasks assigned to them under his administration.
He urged Ghanaians to support them.
In his response, the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II advised Dr. Opoku to go all out and serve his bosses in honesty
He urged the party to focus on telling Ghanaians what they intend to do for them and do a clean a campaign
He pledged to pray for the party in order to achieve their aims.
