NPP outdoors Napo as Bawumia’s running mate in Kumasi today
All is set for the official outdooring of the running mate to the presidential candidate for the governing New Patriotic (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, on Tuesday (9 July) at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi.
This follows the National Council of the NPP’s confirmation of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
President Akufo-Addo has officially endorsed the ticket of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressing unwavering confidence in their leadership capabilities ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Some party stalwarts, including political strategist Gabby Otchere-Darko, have advised the newly selected running mate of the NPP, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, to stay focused and supportive of the presidential candidate to ensure the party wins the upcoming December election.
The Flagbearer of the NPP will after the event proceed to the Norther region to kickstart another leg of his campaign tour of 5 regions.
Beginning in the five northern regions, Bawumia plans to traverse the country southwards, connecting with the youth, grassroots supporters, and key stakeholders along the way.
The primary objective of this campaign is to engage with every Ghanaian citizen, shedding light on the NPP’s accomplishments while articulating Bawumia’s transformative vision for Ghana’s future.
With a focus on inclusivity and progress, the campaign is poised to address pressing issues and solicit feedback from diverse segments of the population.
