Bernard Owusu elected chairman of TUC; Joshua Ansah replaces Yaw Baah as Secretary General
Bernard Owusu has been elected as the new chairman of the Trades Union Congress, Ghana.
Mr. Owusu until he was elected Chairman of TUC, was the National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU). He takes over from Alex Opoku-Nyarko.
Bernard Owusu polled 347 votes to defeat Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was seeking to extend his tenure.
Deputy Secretary General Joshua Ansah also replaces Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah as substantive Secretary General.
