Friends of Lawyer Baffuor Awuah Takes NPP Campaign To Streets

A group by name Friends of Lawyer Baffuor Awuah, the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday morning took the principal streets of Manhyia South by storm with a special kind of campaign.

Holding placards bearing the portrait of the NPP Parliamentary candidate as well as Dr Mahamodu Bawumia, the flag-bearer of the party, the over 200 people interacted with pedestrians, hawkers and drivers along the routes.

Starting the campaign from Ashanti New Town through the Suame roundabout and then towards the Airport and to the Anloga junction and roundabout, the NPP supporters projected placards showing the policies the government had implemented since the last seven (7) years.

Policies such as the free SHS education, one district one factory, one village one dam as well as the planting for food and jobs programmes written on placards were hoisted high as the NPP members walked along the streets.

Mr Joe Waladi, a member of the group said they were committed to getting people in Manhyia South to vote massively for the NPP Parliamentary candidate.

The group, he also revealed plans to use other campaign strategies to ensure they shore up support to enable the NPP flag-bearer, Dr Mahamodu Bawumia record a first round victory in the upcoming presidential election.

Barbara Wood, a member of the group said the group is excited by the energy of its Parliamentary candidate,  Lawyer Baffuor.

She said they are determined to use such campaign activities to rally support behind the Parliamentary candidate and the NPP flag-bearer so they could get the electorate to vote for them on December 7.

Parliamentary Candidate:

Speaking to this reporter, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffuor Awuah said he was grateful to the group for their support.

He noted that he was also excited with their campaign style and activities.

Lawyer Baffuor said most persons including pedestrians, hawkers and vehicle owners ply the routes the Group used, adding that it was strategic move by his supporters.

“I am grateful for the support i have received since my election and for this particular group i love their way of campaigning. I, therefore pray that i get all persons in Manhyia North to vote for me as MP and Dr Mahamodu Bawumia as President on December 7”, the Parliamentary candidate stated.
