Ex Footballer George Asare leads five campuses of Presbyterian University of Ghana as unified SRC president
Ex-footballer George Asare has been elected as the Unified SRC President of Presbyterian University, Ghana, representing all five campuses. Asare, the current SRC President of the Faculty of Law at Kumasi Campus, won with 12 votes out of 43, beating three other student leaders. His closest contender, Presley Owusu Ansah from Abetifi Campus, secured 11 votes.
Asare’s proven track record, communication skills, and commitment to enhancing student welfare made him a strong candidate. In his induction speech, he promised to unite students and fight for their betterment across all five campuses. He again called on students to get on board by actively participating in all PUG’s events to project and promote the Presbyterian University, Ghana.
In the Unified PRO Elections, Kwaku Ankoma-Abrokwaa, a Judicial Officer and final-year LLB student, won with 30 votes representing 69.70% of valid votes cast, defeating his only Kenneth Kwanning from the host campus Abetifi. Mr Abrokwaa, a former television/radio producer at Class Media Group thrilled the students with his powerful delivery during the manifesto reading

– General Secretary: Christiana Asare Amoafowaa
– Deputy General Secretary: Emmanuel Afful
– Financial Secretary: Nimako Emmanuel Kyei
– Women’s Commissioner: Jennifer Banson
The Unified Elections is for SRC Executives from Presbyterian University 5 campuses viz that’s Abetifi , Akropong, Asante Akyem, Tema and Faculty of Law Kumasi Campus.
