Kumasi: Fire outbreak destroys a house at Nyankyerenease
Unfortunate fire outbreak has reduced family’s house to ashes at Nyankyerenease in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 6AM on Tuesday, October 29, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
To confine the fire and stop it from spreading, at least three fire engines were sent to the area.
According to reports gathered by OTEC FM News, the fire has been controlled by the firemen who were dispatched to the scene
Hon. Emmmanuel Atta Boateng, the Unit Committee Chairman for Nyankyerenease, who also witnessed the fire incident, told OTEC NEWS that the cause of the fire was as a result of wrongful handling of gas cylinder in the house
He claims,”Amonoo Gyamfua, the home’s owner, asked the grandchild to bring worm water so she could have a bath. When the grandchild was using a gas cylinder to worm the water, he did not handle it properly, and the fire spread.”
He again confirmed that, despite the extensive damage to the house, there were no reported casualties. The prompt action of the fire service prevented the fire from causing more widespread destruction in the area.
