NPP’s TVET Investment Boosts Kumasi Technical University’s Growth-Vice Chancellor
The Vice Chancellor of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Professor Gabreil Dwomo, has expressed gratitude for the NPP government’s significant investment in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
This investment has equipped the university with modern equipment, laboratories, and other essential resources, leading to improved learning outcomes.
Professor Dwomo revealed that the university’s Oil and Gas Department has received machines worth two million cedis from the government through the Ghana National Petroleum Authority (GNPC).
He disclosed this when a Deputy Education Minister of Education in Charge TVET Professor Kingsley Nyarko embarked on a working visit to the University on Friday October 4,2024
For his part Professor Kingsley Nyarko, echoed Professor Dwomo’s sentiments during a working visit to the university.
He noted that the NPP’s unprecedented investment in TVET is addressing the issue of youth unemployment in Ghana.
Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng, the MP for Kwadaso said Students who take TVET courses are either employed by companies or self-employed, demonstrating the effectiveness of the government’s initiative.
Professor Nyarko emphasized that the government’s TVET education drive is a deliberate effort to transform the country’s fortunes.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, will further build on the gains made in TVET if elected president.
Professor Nyarko urged the public to support the NPP government in the 2024 polls to ensure the continued growth and development of TVET education in Ghana.
